Toner is my favourite step in my skincare routine – it hydrates and can solve a lot of your skincare issues if you choose the right one! Style Korean have sent me a selection of toners to try, so I’m sharing my experiences with each of them.

tocobo vita berry toner

Tocobo Vita Berry Pore Toner Review

The Tocobo Vita Berry Pore Toner aims to make pores appear tighter and skin feel smoother. It refreshes skin, improves elasticity and soothes.

Ingredients

  • 84% Vitamin Tree Extract – improves elasticity, moisturises and provides rich nutrition.
  • 5% Berry Water – wild strawberry extract, which has organic acids to remove dead skin.
  • 2% Hibiscus Extract – antioxidant and anti-ageing, improves barrier strength.

Experience

The first thing you notice about this toner is the delicious berry scent. I love the smell of it and it contributes to this toner being one of my favourites.

The toner offers an instant pore refining effect, leaving my skin soft and smooth, with a matte finish. It clears residual oil from my skin and gives me a healthy glow without looking shiny or still looking wet. The Vita Berry toner sinks in quickly with no stickiness.

When I use it there is a slight tingly, refreshing feeling from a menthol cooling effect. I don’t feel like I need this from my toner, but it’s not too much of a problem.

Mary and May Cica Tea Tree toner

Mary & May Vegan CICA Tea Tree AHA PHA Toner Review

The CICA Tea Tree AHA PHA Toner is a vegan toner that aims to remove dirt, exfoliate and brighten skin.

Ingredients

  • 30% Tea Tree Leaf Water – soothes skin.
  • AHA – softens dead skin cells.
  • PHA – gently exfoliates.
  • Niacinamide – brightens skin and reduces excess sebum.
  • Cica – moisturises and soothes skin.

Experience

This toner has a strong tea tree scent, which I like, but might be too much for those who prefer a scent-free skincare experience. The ingredients in this toner are ideal for my oily skin, and really help to make my skin feel soothed, refined and clear from oil without being stripped dry.

It leaves my skin really soft and smooth, with a nice glow. There’s a slight tackiness left on my skin after using it, but I can forgive that considering the benefits it offers my skin.

Jumiso Glow Boost Toner

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Glow Boost Facial Toner Review

All Day Vitamin Glow Boost claims to make your skin radiant and glowy, while prepping skin. It can improve hyperpigmentation, even skin tone, and lock in moisture.

Ingredients

  • Ascorbic Acid – stable form of vitamin C to brighten skin.
  • Niacinamide – smoothes and repairs skin.
  • Tranexamic Acid – reduces dark spots and improves hyperpigmentation.
  • Panthenol – soothes and hydrates skin.

Experience

This toner offers a more refreshing way to use Vitamin C, with the inclusion of Ascorbic Acid within this lightweight, hydrating and refreshing toner.

This is a stable form of Vitamin C and shouldn’t cause irritation like some Vitamin C products do. I often have sensitivity issues with Vitamin C skincare, but this toner worked well on my skin without any problem.

When I use the toner, it instantly gives my skin a nice glow and makes my skin appear toned and lifted.

Jumiso Super Soothing Toner

Jumiso Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Essence Toner Review

The Super Soothing Cica & Aloe Essence Toner aims to prep and soothe skin, while giving it a natural glow.

  • Centella Asiatica Extract – anti-inflammatory, calming.
  • Aloe Leaf Extract – hydrating and soothing.
  • Mineral Water – helps deliver the ingredients to your skin more effectively.

Experience

The Cica and Aloe essence toner has a nice, light refreshing scent and feel.

I use the serum from this range often, it’s one of my favourites for hydrating my skin with a lightweight formula, so I was excited to use the toner.

The toner is equally light and refreshing to use, although I find the serum to be more hydrating, but this toner gives a good base layer to continue my skincare routine.

The Snail Bee Ultimate Toner aims to brighten skin, while offering anti-ageing benefits, such as improving elasticity and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Experience

The Benton Snail Bee toner has a really light watery texture that is easy to apply and sinks in fast.

It makes my skin feel “normal”, giving the perfect level of hydration to make my skin so soft, smooth and plump, without looking shiny or greasy.

It gives all the benefits of snail secretion filtrate, without the slimy texture you usually get from products with similar ingredients.

Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Toner

Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Toner Review

Best for acne-prone skin, the 30 Days Miracle toner exfoliates dead skin, reduces sebum and tackles acne.

Ingredients

  • AHA – to remove dead skin.
  • BHA – to remove excess sebum.
  • PHA – to retain moisture.
  • Tea Tree – antibacterial.

Experience

I’ve tried several products from the 30 Days Miracle range. While I love the serum and moisturiser from this range – they do absolute wonders for my skin – the toner has always been a bit too much for my skin.

I think it’s a bit too stripping or strong for my skin, and it has ended up causing me more breakouts than it’s solved when I’ve used it. This is a shame, as I know this has been a real miracle product for a lot of people, and I’ve seen others online having incredible results from this toner.

haruharu wonder black rice hyaluronic toner

HaruHaru Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner Review

The Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner is a repairing and firming toner with anti-ageing benefits. It claims to hydrate skin and promote skin cell regeneration to help skin appear plumper and toned for a more youthful appearance.

Ingredients

  • Black Rice Extract – improves skin elasticity by nourishing skin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid – moisturises and hydrates skin.
  • Beta-Glucan – enhances regeneration of skin.

Experience

I’ve tried this toner and the fragrance free version for sensitive skin before, and have enjoyed using them both.

This toner (the original) is quite strongly fragranced, which I don’t mind, but I do prefer the sensitive skin version, which is free from fragrance, as well as essential oils and alcohol.

The Black Rice Hyaluronic toner has an essence-like texture and provides good hydration for my skin, although it can be a little bit sticky.

These are all great toners for different purposes and skin types. My favourites are the Tocobo Vita Berry and Mary & May Cica Tea Tree toners, as they give the best results for my oily skin.

I also really enjoy using the Benton Snail Bee toner as it is so light and hydrating, and makes my skin so soft!
