Roccabox x The Capsule 2.0 Limited Edition Box Review

Roccabox x The Capsule 2.0 Limited Edition Box Review

This month I got my hands on the Roccabox Capsule Collection 2.0. It sold out really fast, so I was lucky to get one!

This was such a good collection, featuring expensive brands, like Murad that are far more expensive than the cost of the box itself. Here I take a look at some of my favourite treats from this collection box:

Seacret Dead Sea Bath Salts

I actually haven’t used these yet, as I don’t often have baths. I try to reduce the amount of water I use as much as possible, so I wasn’t going to pour one out purely to be able to review this product. I’m sure I will enjoy these in the future though, it’s hard to go wrong with this type of bath product!

What do you think about beauty boxes including bath products? I’m always unsure as many people do not have a bath and many others avoid using them?

Dr. Eve_Ryouth 24K Gold + Antioxidant Hydrating Eye Treatments Pads

These gold gel patches look very fancy and feel very soothing and cooling when applied. After using the patches, my under eye area was very soft, smooth and hydrated. Unfortunately for me, these eye patches caused me some irritation. After a few minutes, I felt quite a strong burning sensation where the patches were and had to remove them.

Murad Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum

Receiving Murad products in beauty boxes is always exciting. The products are almost always more expensive than the box itself, so they are a real treat to try.

I have been using this serum quite often recently and it is incredible. It has such a smoothing effect on my skin and gives me a gorgeous flow.

It hasn’t given me any irritation, which can sometimes happen from using acids in skincare.

Q + A Hyaluronic Acid Facial Serum

Can you believe I actually didn’t own a pure hyaluronic acid product before now?! I’ve used many products that include hyaluronic acid, but never a serum, so it’s nice to be able to try this.

I’ve used this at night as a replacement to some of my thicker face creams I would normally use at night. I have found that my skin is now a lot less oily in the morning when I wake up. It is a lovely serum texture and the bottle is very nice too.

Nails Inc Nail Polish

I have to preface this review with the fact that I am dreadful at painting my nails. I try really hard, but every time it goes all over my fingers, gets smudged, chipped or all creased.

The colour of this varnish is very nice – a little pale for me, personally – but it’s still a shade I – and many other people – will use.

The bottle has a nice design and it was fairly easy to apply. The downside for me was that it seemed to take a rather long time to dry. It has a nice gel finish, but by the time it had dried I had already mucked up a few of the nails.

It did last reasonable well though – it was still going strong a few days later when I removed it. If you have more patience and skill when it comes to nails than I do, then I’m sure this would be a lovely varnish to use, but if you’re wanting something super quick and easy, then this might not be the one.

Avant 8 Hour Radiance Renewal Sleeping Mask

Honestly, if I see a box with an Avant product in it, I will probably buy it! They are a brand well out of my price range, but their products are incredible and my skin loves them.

I was very excited to try this sleep mask. I really like using them at night and applying a sleep mask will be one of the last things I do before going to bed.

As with all Avant products, I’m very impressed with this sleep mask and it gives me soft and happy skin. I especially like it as it is light and sinks into the skin quickly, going to an almost matte finish.

This is very appealing to me, especially in comparison to other sleep masks I use, which are typically wetter and sit on the skin for a while. When you’re applying a product before bedtime, you want something that sinks into the skin quicker.
