It’s rare to try a skincare range and genuinely love every single product, but Beautaniq Beauty have done it for me.
Not only does the brand have fantastic skincare, but their principles are excellent too. Using recycled and plastic neutral packaging, plant-based vegan ingredients and being 100% British made, they’re a great choice if you’re eco-conscious.
Beautaniq Beauty sent me their two targeted skincare collections “Hydration Heaven” which aims to hydrate dry skin and “Clear Skies” which provides exfoliation and pore clearing for oily skin. In addition, they sent their Beautaniq Boosters; four serums that can be added to the routine.
Here I’ll review each product individually and then share the routines I’ve been creating with them.
Hydration Heaven
The Hydration Heaven collection contains the Nourishing Cleansing Oil, Rose Hydrating Toner and Peptide Cloud Cream.
Nourishing Cleansing Oil
About the product:
- Oil to milk cleanser
- 100% naturally-derived ingredients, including Rosehip Oil, Squalene and Vitamin E
- Dissolves makeup and impurities
- Gentle and non-stripping
The cleanser goes less ‘milky’ than other oil to milk cleansers I’ve tried, but it also irritates my eyes a lot less than some oil or balm cleansers do.
It does a decent job of breaking down makeup while remaining gentle.
Rose Hydrating Toner
About the product:
- Rose water, Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid toner
- Balances pH and tones skin
- Supports skin moisture barrier
- Balances skin tone, refreshes skin and provides a smoother complexion
The toner has a spray nozzle, so you can spritz the rose toner over your face quite easily. You can use it throughout the day for extra hydration if needed or for a refresh.
It has a lovely refreshing natural rose scent. My skin feels soothed, smoothed and refreshed after using the toner.
Peptide Cloud Cream
About the product:
- Rich nourishing moisturiser with peptides to help plump skin and preserve collagen structures.
- Formulated with resveratrol, green tea, squalane and peptide.
- Strengthens skin’s natural moisture barrier
Cloud Cream is an apt name for this product; it has a rich, fluffy texture that is still fairly light, sinking into the skin very fast.
The peptides plump skin, green tea and resveratrol offer antioxidant protection and squalane hydrates and maintains the skin barrier.
Despite typically avoiding richer creams for my oily skin, I’ve been using the Cloud Cream in my evening routine for a couple of weeks with no issue. It helps pack in the hydration from my routine and leaves my skin plump, happy and healthy looking.
Clear Skies
The Clear Skies collection contains the Clarifying Jelly Cleanser, Clarifying Toner and Gel Moisturiser.
Clarifying Jelly Cleanser
About the product:
- Formulated with glycolic acid, salicylic acid and 70% aloe vera juice
- Removes excess oil, dead skin cells and makeup
- Gentle and non-stripping
- Provides a brighter and clearer appearance
My skin looks so clear, bright and glowy after using this, without being tight or dry. It makes my skin so smooth and ready for the rest of my skincare.
Clarifying Toner
About the product:
- Formulated with glycolic acid, lactic acid, gluconolactone and 80% aloe vera juice
- Removes dead skin cells
- Minimise pores and oiliness
The toner contains a mix of AHA BHA and PHA that helps to remove dead skin cells and clears blockages to brighten and even skin tone. The bulk of the toner is aloe vera leaf juice, though, so the toner is still very light, hydrating and fairly gentle.
Gel Moisturiser
About the product:
- Formulated with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and green tea
- Oil free
- Long lasting and quick absorbing
The moisturiser has some fantastic ingredients for combination and oily skin.
- Hyaluronic acid hydrates skin.
- Niacinamide evens skin tone and reduces sebum production.
- Green tea extract offers antioxidant benefits.
I love using this cream as my daytime moisturiser. It has a light cream gel texture that goes watery and absorbs quickly. It’s not oily and doesn’t leave my skin shiny.
Beautaniq Boosters
There are four Beautaniq Boosters in the set I received; the Clarifying Serum, Brighter Day Serum, Raindrench Serum and Encapsulated Retinol Serum.
Clarifying Serum
About the product:
- Targets hyperpigmentation and promotes cell renewal
- Formulated with glycolic acid, mandelic acid, salicylic acid and gluconolactone
- Resurfacing AHA/BHA clears pores and dead skin cells for smoother and clearer skin
This overnight serum helps to resurface and calm skin, clearing out pores to prevent breakouts.
My skin needs a lot of exfoliation to stay happy, so I take all the acids I can in my skincare! It does a good job at maintaining my skin’s smoothness.
Brighter Day Serum
About the product:
- Vitamin C serum
- 1% tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, a stable, soluble form of vitamin C
- Powerful but gentle
- Brightens skin, boosts glow and reduces appearance of wrinkles
I often have a lot of trouble finding a vitamin C serum that works for me; usually they make my skin too sensitive and I end up with stinging cheeks or redness. This serum is gentle enough for me to use daily with no problems.
My skin is glowy without being oily or shiny.
Raindrench Serum
About the product:
- Hydrating and soothing serum
- Hyaluronic acid, 5% niacinamide, vitamin B5 + zinc
- Keeps skin soft, smooth and healthy
This is one of my faves from the set, I use it morning and evening (depending on the other products in my routine). Niacinamide really helps to keep my skin spot-free, and this serum does just that, as well as hydrating and smoothing my skin.
Encapsulated Retinol Serum
About the product:
- 0.3% active retinol in microencapsulation and gluconolactone
- Gentle and stable – it slowly releases overnight to reduce irritation
- Anti-ageing
- Diminishes pores
This golden glowing serum is the best retinol product I’ve ever used. I’ve tried lots of different retinol products before and not seen wildly impressive results, but after one night using this Serum, it was like I had brand new skin.
My skin was soft, plumped and smooth. Milia is one of my biggest skin concerns and it’s been really bad recently and this serum has really helped to diminish the bumps on my skin and get the texture of my skin more even.
I also experienced no sensitivity or irritation from this product, which is more than you can wish for from a retinol!
