A combination of an obsession with matte lipstick and the terrible British weather means that my lips have always been pretty chapped, cracked and dry. I spend a lot of time and money trying out different lip balms that I have to endlessly apply to keep my lips in shape.
I was very excited to be able to try out four lip products from COSRX to see if they helped out my lips. Here is my experience with the COSRX lip kits.
COSRX Full Fit Honey Sugar Lip Scrub
The Honey Sugar Lip Scrub contains sugar crystals to exfoliate dead skin from the lips, as well as honey extract to hydrate.
It isn’t too harsh for a scrub, meaning it would be suitable for more sensitive lips, while still being an effective scrub.
The scrub made my lips so soft and smooth; ready to be followed up with my favourite lipstick or with a sleep mask in the evening. This lip product really got my lips into good shape and helped stop my lips being so chapped.
COSRX Refresh AHA BHA Vitamin C Lip Plumper
The Lip Plump helps to plump up lips, while also adding a smoothing and hydrating effect. It contains AHA and BHA to exfoliate chapped lips, plus vitamin C to make them look healthy and plump.
It is a gel, cream texture that is easy to apply and use. The lip plump melts into the lips to hydrate and volumise.
The lip plump felt warm and tingly when applied. This is similar to many other lip plumping products I’ve tried in the past, and the feeling goes away after a few minutes.
It made my lips look glossy and smooth without being too sticky. I would have liked to see more of an obvious plumping effect from the product given how much of a tingling feeling it has.
However, my lips were smoother and it acted as a great base for my liquid matte lipstick. The lipstick stayed well and the matte liquid didn’t make my lips dry and chapped like it can do.
COSRX Full Fit Propolis Lip Sleeping Mask
The COSRX Propolis Lip Sleep is full of propolis extract to replenish and nourish lips. It can be used overnight as a sleeping mask, or throughout the day like a lip balm.
The lip sleeping mask has a thicker, honey texture that really nourishes lips. It’s not too sticky, but I personally prefer using this one at night, just in case it does feel too tacky. Applying the Propolis lip sleep mask is very easy – a little goes a long way and it melts and absorbs into the lips very easily.
I absolutely love this lip sleeping mask – I’ve tried lots over the years and this is the only one that actually lasts the night for me! My lips feel properly hydrated, nourished and soft when I wake up. My lips often get cracked and dry overnight, leaving them rough in the morning, but with this lip sleep mask, it’s not a problem for me at all. It makes my lips so smooth.
The Propolis Lip Sleep came in a set with a cute mini of the Propolis toner from COSRX. You can see what I thought of the COSRX Propolis Toner in my previous review.
COSRX Ceramide Lip Butter Sleeping Mask
The Ceramide Lip Sleep Mask soothes and strengthens lips with a combination of ceramide, shea butter and coconut oil. Lips are left moisturised and hydrated all through the night when used as a sleep mask.
I actually loved using this one more during the day, as it’s perfect as a lip balm due to its non-sticky texture, lack of colour and quick absorption.
This Lip Sleep mask came in a set with the COSRX Cica Toner, which is super soothing and calming for skin.
I really loved all of these lip products, but I’d say my favourite is the Propolis Lip Sleep mask as I feel like this gave my lips the most noticeable improvement. If you’d like to try out any of these lip masks, then check out the COSRX lip collection at Style Korean.
