If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know I love a good beauty box! While I don’t often subscribe to a particular box, I will often buy a one month subscription if there are things in a box I’m intrigued to try!
One of the boxes I got this month was the September 2020 box from Roccabox.
What’s in the Box?
- STYLondon – Devil Velvet Touch Eyeshadow Palette
- Douvalls – Lip & Cheek Colour (one of five shades)
- Like It On Top – Lip Scrub Protection
- Oh K! – Pomegranate Sculpting Tech Neck Mask
- Brushworks – HD Eye Brush
- Caleno Drinks
STYLondon Devil Velvet Touch Eyeshadow Palette
The STYLondon palette was the number one reason I bought this box. I already have a pink-toned STYLondon palette and it is one of my absolute faves! It has great colour pay-off and is the perfect mixture of mattes and shimmers.
The palette contains nine shades, which are perfect for the autumn season. They are bright and bold and stay in place all day. The palette itself is worth £15, so if you’re interested in trying it, then this beauty box is a great deal.
Douvalls Lip & Cheek Colour
I received this product in the shade Sweet Love, although there are 4 other shades you could receive in this box. Sweet Love is like a burnt orangey-red shade that is perfect for Autumn.
It’s made with argan oil, so it feels a lot more nourishing than other lip products. You won’t get a bold lip from this, it’s more of a tint, which is good for more casual days.
Originally, this retails for £16, making this another bargain when it comes to the price of the box.
Like It On Top Lip Scrub Protection
If you like lemon, then you’ll love this – the lemony scent is unmissable, and the bright yellow colour is vibrant and eye catching!
When the weather gets colder (or I wear a lot of matte lipstick), my lips tend to get very dry and cracked and so this is a very welcomed treat. Plus, the lip scrub is made from 100% natural ingredients (it’s a sugar scrub), so you won’t be in trouble if you accidentally get a bit in your mouth during the lip exfoliation process!
As well as scrubbing the lips, the Like It On Top lip scrub is also very nourishing and helps to hydrate and moisturise the lips too.
This product can be bought for £11.75.
Oh K! Pomegranate Sculpting Tech Neck Mask
Oh K! have some of the cutest packaging out there and it always catches my eye when I go skincare shopping. Their neck mask was not something I had tried before, because come on, a mask for your neck?! But I was actually pleasantly surprised by this!
On it’s own the mask costs £7. I do often think that Oh K! products are really overpriced, and I probably wouldn’t spend that much on it to buy it separately.
Brushworks – HD Eye Brush
The HD Eye Brush is a fairly firm, synthetic brush – the type I would use to pack on a base shade or pat on glitter, rather than to buff and blend out eyeshadow. It is vegan and cruelty-free, which is a big benefit!
All in all, for a £5.99 brush it does it’s job. I’ve sort of spoiled myself when it comes to brushes and generally use fluffier ones for eyeshadow, but this is still definitely one I will use.
Caleno Drinks Juniper and Inca Berry
September’s Roccabox comes with an extra treat this month – a 10cl bottle of Caleno Drinks Juniper and Inca Berry – a non-alcoholic spirit.
As a botanical ‘spirit’ made from juniper, I believe this is inspired by gin, and should be drunk poured over ice and topped up with tonic.
Have you bought a box from Roccabox before? As well as their monthly boxes, they also do limited edition collections and mystery boxes. I personally think that Roccabox are one of the most affordable and best beauty boxes out there – I’m constantly impressed by the products they include!
