Evening Korean Skincare Routine for Oily Skin

Evening Korean Skincare Routine for Oily Skin

Since incorporating Korean beauty products into my skincare collection, I have been trying to find the best products to work for my oily skin type. From my evening skincare routine, I need a good amount of exfoliation, while also keeping my skin hydrated, clean and healthy.

Here I have put together a simplified Korean skincare routine using products that are suitable for oily skin.

Cleansing Step 1 – Dear Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil

My first step in the evening is to use an oil cleanser. There is often a misconception that oily skin types shouldn’t use oil-based products, but you’d be surprised how well they work for all skin types.

I love the Dear Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleansing Oil because it is so gentle that you can easily use it on your eye area. This is really important for me as I tend to wear heavy eye makeup, so using a cleanser that doesn’t sting when used to clean eye lashes is key!

This cleansing oil really helps to break down makeup and clear the skin in the first stage of my cleansing process.

Cleansing Step 2 – Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser

In the evening, I like to double cleanse, so I follow up with the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser. This is more of a watery gel-like cleanser that goes all bubbly when you add water. It helps to clean deeper, without irritating the skin.

It leaves my skin clear and smooth, without feeling tight or dehydrated.

Essence – Corpore Sanctum Matrixyl 3000 + Hyaluronic Acid Collagen Boosting Essence

Following cleansing, I use an essence to rehydrate and nourish the skin. Your skin does a lot of healing overnight, so I like to make sure it is well prepared! The Corpore Sanctum Matrixyl 3000 + Hyaluronic Acid Collagen Boosting Essence helps to both rehydrate and plump skin, so I wake up with a more youthful complexion.

Serum – Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum

One of my biggest skincare concerns is milia – my cheeks are covered in tiny bumps, and the best way to reduce them is through exfoliation. The exfoliation needs to be quite consistent, but using stronger exfoliating products every day is too harsh on your skin.

I use the Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum each night, as it is the perfect mix of exfoliating and soothing to help my skin stay smooth without becoming irritated.

It is a tea tree and centella based product, so it helps to sooth and reduce redness. The AHA exfoliates dead skin cells, the BHA removes excessive sebum and the PHA helps to retain moisture.

Eye Cream – Heimish Marine Care Eye Cream

I use the Heimish Marine Care Eye Cream both morning and night. It is the best eye cream I have tried so far! After using it consistently for the past few months, I have seen a noticeable improvement in my dark circles. It keeps the undereye hydrated and nourished.

Moisturiser – Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream

As well as the miracle serum, I use the Some By Mi AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream. I rarely use products from the same range in a routine, but the serum does such a good job for me that I often use the cream too! The cream has the added bonuses of helping to improve the skin barrier, smooth skin and offer anti-inflammatory benefits. It is a light, gel-like cream, which also makes it ideal for my oily skin!
