Happy Mask Monday! Today’s review is of the TonyMoly Pureness 100 Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask. Out of the masks I’ve tried so far, this one has been my favourite! Read on to find out why I love it so much!
About the Mask
The TonyMoly Pureness 100 Hyaluronic Acid Mask Sheet contains hyaluronic acid. The intention of the mask is to hydrate your skin and make it silky smooth. It is suitable for all skin types. The mask is a cotton, gauze-style mask made from unbleached cotton.
You may see little brown spots on the mask – this is ok, it’s not a problem with the mask – they are cotton seeds. Because the mask is made from cotton, it is a great option for those with sensitive skin.
My Experience and Thoughts
The mask has a really good fit, stays on the face well and was comfortable to wear for the full time the mask was kept on. The mask contains a decent amount of serum, but it doesn’t run or drip at all.
The mask got drier towards the end of the time it was on my face, as the serum had sunk into my skin very well. After removing the mask, my skin wasn’t shiny or greasy looking like it usually is after using a mask. Instead, my skin had really drunk up the hyaluronic acid serum and felt very soft and smooth, as well as looking plump with a healthy glow.
Immediately after using my skin felt a little tacky, but this passed fairly quickly. I really don’t have any downsides to this mask!
Using as Part of a Routine
Some people use masks as part of their skincare routine, while others use them almost separately as a self-care or relaxing experience. While this mask could absolutely be used for both, I think it would work wonderfully as part of a routine after cleansing to add hydration and to make subsequent products sink into the skin better.
I absolutely loved this mask, and will definitely be purchasing more to use more regularly in my skincare routine!
