Rovectin Clean Skincare Line Review

Collection of Rovectin Skincare

The Rovectin products mentioned in this blog were gifted in exchange for a review by Style Korean.

Rovectin is a Korean skincare brand I have really enjoyed using in the past, so I was excited to be able to try out more of their products from the Rovectin Clean line.

The Rovectin Clean collection is 100% vegan and eco-friendly. It is aimed at those with sensitive skin, providing extra gentle exfoliation and soothing ingredients.

The packaging is simple and to the point, but all of the Rovectin products also came with a cute sticker sheet so that you could personalise and decorate the products yourself if you wanted!

Here’s what I thought of the products.

Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming Toner

Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming Toner

The toner contains 40% lotus water and lotus flower extract, which helps to soothe sensitive and irritated skin. It has a lightweight, watery texture that sinks into skin quickly without leaving it sticky. I think this would be a good toner for sensitive skin.

For me, this toner is fine. It didn’t cause me any irritation, and it provided my skin with an adequate amount of hydration to keep my skin moisturised. However, it isn’t quite what I look for in a toner for my skin type (oily). I will still use this toner when my skin needs calming, or I need a break from exfoliation, but it’s not going to be one I switch to using all the time. I am also not sure it would be hydrating enough for very dry skin types.

Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule

Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule

An exfoliating ampoule containing 85% Neroli Flower Water to soothe skin, sub-acidic LHA ingredients to gently remove dead skin cells and sebum, and 5 types of Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise, improve blemishes and brighten skin.

This was so gentle to use – if you’re looking for an exfoliator that won’t irritate your skin, then this could be it. The LHA Blemish Ampoule has probably made the most noticeable difference to my skin out of these products.

On a personal note, I’ve recently switched medication, which is causing me some nasty recurring breakouts. This ampoule has really helped to improve this situation, and make the skin where these breakouts have occurred look a better tone. I haven’t had as many bad breakouts since using this, and the ones I have had are a lot more under control.

One issue with this product though is the dropper. I struggle to fill it up with product and can’t dispense a decent amount from it. There seems to be more product stuck to the outside of the dropper than being sucked inside it. While it shouldn’t stop you trying out this product, it’s certainly a point worth making for the brand to reconsider the packaging.

Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule

Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule

The Forever Young Biome Ampoule contains 7 layers of Dual Biome Complex, which are pre and probiotics, that moisturise skin and help to restore the skin barrier.

It is an anti-ageing ampoule that uses hydration to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The ampoule is oil-free, ensuring it can be easily absorbed without feeling oily, greasy or sticky.

This ampoule is another star of this collection for me. I absolutely love it and what it does for my skin – it’s truly a miracle worker. It completely changes the texture and feel of my skin (for good), hydrating to the point of perfectly smoothing and softening my skin. I can’t stop touching my face after using this! It feels so plump and healthy.

However, like the LHA ampoule, the bottle dropper design lets this one down a little too. There seems to be more ampoule stuck to the outside of the dropper than inside it, which ends up making a mess when you try to put the lid back on, as it ends with the product dripping down the bottle. I wonder if the products are the right consistency for this bottle type, and maybe a pump dispenser would have been better. Despite this, I would still recommend it and buy it for myself.

Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream
Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream

The Lotus Water Cream contains 75% lotus water to purify skin, plus Natural Moisturising Factors to moisturise skin.

Such a good cream for dehydrated skin of any type. The water cream is plenty nourishing, but remains light enough for oily skin types. It really helped soothe my skin, making it softer and smoother, and feeling less irritated and sensitive. I think this is a great year-round cream – nourishing enough to rehydrate skin in the winter but light enough to handle in the summer.

It sinks in well and doesn’t feel sticky or look shiny at all, even on my oily skin. This is a cream I could use morning and evening, all year.

Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser

I was also lucky enough to be sent a mini version of the Conditioning Cleanser. This cleanser is actually my go-to nightly cleanser that I purchased for myself and have used in my evening routine for the past year. It’s a fantastic cleanser for oily skin and I always feel properly cleansed without my skin feeling stripped or dry.
