I love a beauty box, and this recent offering from Latest in Beauty might be one of my faves! This is like the ultimate summer essentials box for beauty and skincare, even though the four walls of my garden are likely to be the only thing seeing my summer skin this year!
Usually, when I buy a beauty box, it’ll be packed full of products I’ve never heard of or tried before and it’s nice to be able to find new things. With this box, I’d actually already used about half of the products, and some of them were already part of my daily beauty routine. This was actually even better for me at this time, as while it’s lovely to discover new products, it’s also very useful to be sent things I need while I am unable to go to somewhere like Superdrug or Boots to buy it myself!

My Favourite Products in the Box
Out of the products in the box, the following are my absolute favourites and I have explained them a little more in depth. While I like all of the products included, these are the ones that I enjoyed most and would specifically recommend.
Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Color
I have been looking for the perfect bright and bold pink lipstick for years, and so far the search has been wildly unsuccessful for me. Until now, that is, as the Pink Orchid shade on this Flower Beauty lipstick is almost perfect for me.
It’s a super bold shade, that might not be for everyone, but it seems to be quite flattering despite being so bright. The packaging for this is lovely, and the lipstick goes on smooth, with a full coverage. It lasted well throughout the day, without becoming patchy or wearing, which is ideal for such a bright shade.
Pixi Glow Tonic
This is like the ultimate beauty blogger product that everyone raves about. These smaller bottles are a great way to try the product without having to pay full price, and are also more convenient for when I’m travelling. When I’ve used the glow tonic before, I have seen noticeable improvements to my skin.
Superdrug Vitamin C Facial Booster
I actually already use this Vitamin C serum from Superdrug most days – in fact, I recently mentioned it in my Summer Skincare Routine blog. This is a really affordable product that offers great results. It smells great, it applies really easily and sinks in fast.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moisture Deep Treatment
Around two years ago I switched to Aussie for my conditioners and hair treatments. As well as smelling incredible, these treatments really do work wonders for hair, transforming damaged locks into soft and shiny perfect hair!
Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Big Blow Dry Spray
The name certainly doesn’t lie – this spray gives VOLUME! It’s a light spray that doesn’t dry crisp, and smells phenomenal, which is a big plus. Another bonus is that it offers heat protection, which not all styling sprays do.
NARS Blush in Orgasm
I actually have this exact shade in another format of blush from NARS, a creamy version, but I much prefer this little powder blush variety. It is the perfect pink shade for me, and gives a slight shimmer too. It blends in really nicely and can be built up to create the look you want.
MUA Blushed Liquid Cream Blush – Taupe
I’m not normally one for liquid cream blushes, but there’s something about these MUA ones that I love. I have a couple of others from this range and they all blend in like a dream. They are so easy to build up into the perfect blush look. This shade is such a great summery shade too, as the brown tones are perfect for working into a tan, or adding an extra bronzed glow.
Hawaiian Tropic Aloha Care Sun Protection
Finding a suncream that works for the face as well as it does for the body is pretty tricky. Your classic sunscreen is often a bit greasy and probably won’t work well as a makeup base or for oily skin.
This option from Hawaiian Tropic is a pretty strong contender though, as this sunscreen dries matte, and you absolutely cannot feel any greasiness at all from it. It seems to completely sink into my skin and I can use it underneath my makeup and stay protected from the sun.
While this box is no longer available, all of these products can be purchased separately. Hopefully these product reviews will be useful in your decisions to try new beauty products!
