Kiko Milano Waterflower Magic Eyeshadow Palette Review

Kiko Milano Waterflower Magic Eyeshadow Palette Review

As a big fan of KIKO Milano, I am always on the lookout for their latest products. My current favourites have to be the KIKO Waterflower Magic range, as they have been designed for spring, and I really love the colours they are working with.

From this range, my favourites have to be the Waterflower Magic Eyeshadow Palettes, of which they currently offer two. Each palette is £15.90 and contains four shades – three matte shades and one very glittery metallic shade. While I initially thought that this was way too much money for a small, four-shade palette, having used the product, my opinion has totally changed, and I definitely feel that they are worth it.

All of the shades are highly pigmented, especially the matte shades, which can be hard to find in some palettes. The shades in each palette are worth using individually or can be blended together to create some incredible looks. The matte shades are really soft and smooth which makes applying the colour so easy, and blending is a dream. Each palette comes in a delightful pastel purple case that features a mirror and a sponge applicator – which isn’t actually too bad for a sponge. I feel like this makes these palettes the perfect ‘on the go’ choice for makeup lovers.

Piece of my Earth

Palette number 1 is called ‘Piece Of My Earth’ and contains brown-toned shades. The lightest shade is a cream-coloured base, with two other matte shades in medium and dark brown. The glitter shade is a lovely copper colour that works really well with the other brown tones. Despite only offering brown shades, this palette still offers a fair amount of diversity. Simply using the matte brown shades offers a bold, yet natural daytime look, while a quick sweep of the metallic shade and a little extra dark brown in the crease can quickly transform your eyes dramatically, ready for a night out!

Sakura Wish

Palette number 2, Sakura Wish, is the first one of these palettes that I purchased. I loved it so much that I had to return to get the Piece Of My Earth palette! Inspired by delicate cherry blossoms, this pink-toned palette includes a pale pink, a pinky-brown and a blue-grey matte shade as well as a light pink metallic glitter shade. Despite being pink shades, the pigment is incredible and is bold enough to show up in pictures. My only complaint with these palettes is that the glitter shade doesn’t provide a thick coverage easily, you need to build up the glitter unless you just want a bit of a highlight sheen. This isn’t really a problem; I just have several other palettes with glitter shades that provide intense results with just one brush!
