Happy Mask Monday! Today, I’m trying out the Turmeric Mask from Beauty Pro.
I had a fairly poor experience with using this mask, although the results were commendable, so I would rate it a 3 out of 5 overall.
About the Mask
The Beauty Pro Turmeric Mask is a bamboo sheet mask that contains turmeric, sugar cane and soya bean. Turmeric is a superfood and powerful natural antioxidant that helps to re-energise the skin and promote cell renewal.
The mask is said to have anti-ageing effects and should help to brighten the complexion. As a bamboo sheet mask, it is also biodegradable, making it a better choice environmentally.
My Experience With the Beauty Pro Turmeric Mask
Poor Fit
I know I’m not good at applying sheet masks, but this mask had a very poor fit for me. It was too loose around the mouth and chin areas, and it kept gaping here. Weirdly, the nose section was way too long, so the mask actually kept blocking off my nostrils so I couldn’t breathe. I kept having to adjust the mask throughout the time I was wearing it.
Because I had to keep moving the mask around, at one point it accidentally touched against my eye. The serum in the mask caused a lot of irritation in my eye, and I had to rinse it out.
Serum Was Good For My Skin
Despite my troubles with the mask itself, the serum was actually quite beneficial for my skin. After removing the mask, my skin had gained a healthy glow, without looking shiny. It had definitely brightened and energised my complexion, as promised.
I also noticed that my skin felt a lot smoother and softer after using.
As you can tell, this was definitely not my favourite mask, but also not the worst either.
